Info: On some Windows computers the downloaded SVG file might be labeled as "HTML Document" instead of "SVG Document". You might want to contact the Microsoft support on how to change that, or you can open it anyways in any program with SVG file support:
Pixel based file types (eg. PNG) are only intended for special use cases, because vectorizing an image and then saving it in a pixel based format is not reasonable for the most cases.
Info: Some file formats are not compatible with the current image configuration! For example some file formats do not support more than 32 colors. (or paint-by-numbers or 15KB minimization was enabled).
Step ①: Choose the Right Model:
First, select a model that best matches the type of your input image. There are four categories:
Photo (many colors): Ideal for high-detail, color-rich images.
Clipart (few colors): Best for images with limited colors and simpler designs.
Sketch (only gray-scale): Suited for gray-scale images with varying shades of gray.
Drawing (black/white): Perfect for black and white images, like line drawings or monochrome graphics.
Step ②: Select a Color Palette:
Choose one of the available color palettes that best matches your image. A palette with fewer colors often yields a clearer vector output. If none of the pre-defined palettes suit your image, you have the option to create a custom color palette. This allows for a more precise and tailored vector conversion that reflects the true colors of your image.
Step ③: Enhance Image Quality:
If your input image has noise or is of low resolution, enhance its quality by selecting one of the available options:
Noise Reduction: This helps in smoothing out the noise in the image, making it cleaner for a more accurate vector conversion.
Upscaling: Use this for low-resolution images. It increases the image's size and clarity, making it more suitable for a detailed vector conversion. If you image already has a high quality and more upscaling is not offered, you can consider using the "Image Crop" to select a small part of your image which then can be upscaled.
Step ④: Select Output Colors:
Select the color which should be used for the vector image generation. Less output colors usually result in clearer vector images, especially if there are many small output color circles which represent small color areas.
You can drag & drop the color circles to change the order or the grouping of the color layers.
Each color circle has a check box which allows to disable the color, often useful to remove a background color to generate a vector image with a transparent background.

Fair Use Policy
We rely on revenue generated by paying users to support the available computational resources for vectorizations. In order to ensure that these resources are used fairly and sustainably, we kindly request that users utilize this service in a fair manner:
In order to give every user a fair share of the available resources, each user can only download a maximum of 100 vectorization results in any 60 minute period.
You are not allowed to share your access to this service with other users. In order to access our service, we require that each user purchase an individual access.
You are not allowed to use 'automated' tools to use this service. (eg. no scripts, no automation tools, etc.). Automated requests are only allowed using our API.
Fair Billing Policy
All of us have experienced the frustration of paying for a subscription service that we no longer use. This often happens when we realize, after a few months, that we are still being charged a monthly fee for a website, service, or app that we haven't accessed in months.
That is why on vectorizer.io you only pay the monthly subscription fee if you actually use the service:
Upon receiving confirmation of each successful monthly payment, we will place your subscription in a paused state automatically. In this state, there will be no recurring charges and you will still have access to the service for the month for which you have already paid.
Then months later, if you sign in again after a period of inactivity, or after doing API calls, the paused state will be removed and you will be charged again for a new month of usage.
Our service is designed to be flexible and convenient for our users. With that in mind, we do not require any long-term commitments or contracts. You are free to cancel your subscription at any time by using the 'cancel subscription' button in the account info, or by contacting our support.
